Hi,
I bought this left handed Flying V. I was told it was "Vintage '79 Japan built with Tokai PAFs" according to the ad. (pics link below)
I've looked at quite a few online now and are pretty sure it's not any of those descriptions, but if anyone can give me more info about it would be helpful. There is no serial #. From what I've read now... they were not even built until starting in '82/'83? The logos and truss cover is different compared to the ones sold on Reverb for example etc. Another things is the tuners... all pictures I find have the vintage style green tuners like the Gibsons. These have only 1 screw like 6 in line style... and there are no holes to show they had been changed. the pickups are super hot.. around 14 neck/ 15 bridge. I opened it up and could not find any info.

Anyone know what wood these actually are?
Where was it likely built and the year? What model is it? FV-____?

The OP's looks like a Korean one from late 90's. Never a mij Tokai from 79.

I've seen some Chinese numbers are just clear stickers, hence easy to remove. Some people do remove them but forget to remove the CE one! So another giveaway that it's Chinese.

The main guide to Flying V ID, is the truss rod cover style and logo.
