Tokai's unique new sound concept that shocked the increasingly radical music scene.
●What year is the Tokai ES model?:
This model, commonly known as the Electric Spanish semi-acoustic model, is extremely difficult to perfect. This is the reason why we did not limit the development of the Tokai ES series to one original model. The original 335 model was constantly changing and improving in its perfection, and Tokai has deliberately researched the models from 1959 to 1964 thoroughly. Woodworking We select and manufacture wood that has excellent precision and acoustic characteristics. In other words, by extracting all of the excellent parts of the original 335, we were able to significantly improve the level of perfection as a semi-acoustic guitar and create a high-quality model. Therefore, the basic material for both the ESD model and the ES jazz model is the original 335,59~64 model. This is normal for a new Kai. Especially when it comes to semi-hollow bodies, hardware is the key. Of course, the pickup is important, but the construction of the neck and body that brings out its characteristics is also important. The choice of a mahogany peace neck is not simply because older models use it, but because it is the best neck material, with excellent acoustics and strength. The perfect gift for musicians who aspire to traditional jazz or innovative rock music.
●Fingerboard & Fretting: The ES100 uses a rose fingerboard, and the ES150 uses an ebony fingerboard. Not only the position mark, but also the old type dot position (white trough & cell shell = 6.5 medium) perfectly reproduces the simple yet tasteful feel of the hold. Fretting is perfect and all models have fret edge binding. Promises smooth fingering as well as prevention of string misalignment. Please look forward to the Tokai ES series, which pursues sound concepts.
●Headstock: New ES series headstock. The symmetrical and impressive small type headstock and single knurled old Kluson type pegs create an outstanding old feel. Also, I would like you to pay attention to the adjustable cover. The two-point adjustable cover is a Tokai original. The adjusting end of the truss rod set below it is located above the nut. This is a characteristic of the original 335 as well as an old Gibson characteristic (of course, it is also common to the LS and LC series). Please note that this adjustable cover also has a 3-point stopper.
●Neck: All models use a mahogany piece neck. Toh pursues a complete replica model are doing. The frets are 2.7m wide and 0.9mm high. The neck nigiri shape is also said to have the highest degree of perfection. This is a professional cut based on data from late 1959 to early 1996, and is a work I'm confident in recommending to musicians who can appreciate the difference.
●Body: Before we start talking about the body, let's first talk about the name ES. The abbreviation of ES is actually Electric Spanish, and it is a strange story why the names semi-acoustic and semi-hollow body are used. For example, the ES335 is not just a 335 model, but an Electric Punish 335 model. Tokai ES series is literally the best electric pants. It's a model. The body structure is as shown in the diagram, consisting of a center block, top and back, and side walls. It is composed of so-called box parts. Center block: maple sandwiched with spruce This center block runs straight through the center from the top of the body to the end. Along with the tail piece system, this is one of the major factors that produces a long sustain and strong sound. It becomes. Top, back and sides: The top and back are made of 3-ply maple. side The ply specification is made by sandwiching mahogany with maple. Reliably captures the rich resonance of string vibrations. It boasts ideal acoustic characteristics. The rise of the sound is perfect, and it's a course in jersey. The unique sound is unique to the ES series. Body shape & arched view: The body shape is slightly different from the current model, with the Ritsu/ part drawing a large curve and double It forms a cutaway. The body shape perfectly reproduces the 59 original 335, and the stand
