The electronics are gone. I wonder if they needed them to restore another guitar? But odd to part out an ST42...

I recently found a very hard to find control cavity cover for a vintage 1979 Ibanez Musician MC500. Had it not been for a dealer parting out another guitar with a broken head stock I would not have gotten the part. So I'm very grateful for that.

Has to be a reason though.

Lurker here coming out of hibernation to clarify that this guy is not a parter-outer: the body and neck are from completely different guitars long since detached from their original contexts, and were intended for use in a project that didn’t end up getting done (I’m not the guy selling those parts, btw, but I do have personal knowledge!).

This is an amazing forum and I hope no-one minds the clarification from a first-timer. It’s great to be here and I’ve learnt a lot already. Hoping to purchase my first Springy soon…
