I have a Tokai Strat 1987 does anybody know if the Truss Rod Nut is metric I see the American ones are Sae 10x32
I have a sneaky feeling mine is metric I also have a 84 Tokai Strat and it has the slotted nut with a little dimple cut out on PG I can get a screwdriver in and adjust without taking thee neck off great idea but my 78 has a Hex truss rod. I want to make it like the other.

MIJ guitars are all-metric by default (with a few rare exceptions). Truss rods have mostly either m5 or m6 thread, usually the latter. Try measuring the inside diameter of the original nut with calipers, the measurement will be slightly under the required thread (like 5,6 mm = m6).
