My 1980 ST-100 Mary Kay all cleaned up! My name is Scott, and I am happy to be here. This is my 6th Tokai. I just picked it up at a charity auction. The mods were done LONG ago, and not by me! And while I would never do this to a ST100, I will sure enjoy it. I have a thing for vintage guitars with period mods done BITD by a player putting their personal stamp on an instrument. (As long as it is done well.) Love that mojo.

If I can find an original ST-80 or ST-100 neck I will return it to stock. But that might take a while to find!

So, while the original owner may face the wrath of the Tokai Gods, I get a pass and just get play the hell out of it, lol.

What we have here:
-An original ST-100 one piece ash blond Mary Kay body with remnants of gold hardware.
-A mystery Tokai ST Springy neck. Beautiful, but it is not Nitro so I don't think it is original and there is a lack of a strong V.
-A 1970's Gibson emboss cover minihumbucker
-Seymour Duncan Classic stack pickups from the early 80's
-A legit 1984 Floyd Rose whale tail
-A Floyd 'prototype' humpback locking nut (Like EVH would have had.)
-Schaller mini tuners.
Though modded, the mods were done very well. (With a minimum removal wood to get the job done.) And it plays magnificently!
