Just collecting photos of these special guitars.
They are not a replica of any one guitar, and instead combine a V neck you might see in the 50s with a rosewood veneer that didn't appear until the mid 60s.
Fun guitar to play and I'll never sell my '81.
The date range seems to be from very late 1979 to 1981?
So far I have seen them in the following finishes with GS seemingly the most common:
GS (1979,1980, 1981)
YS (1980)
OW (1980)
FO (1980)
N (1979,1980)
MR (1981)
GM (1981)
BB (1980, 1982)
Color options for the ST80R by 1982 were:
GS -YS - N - OW - BB - FO - MR - MB
