https://imgur.com/a/lyV4jngHi, apologies if this is in wrong section etc. I have recently acquired a Tokai love rock les paul, just after help on dating and value. I've sussed the 03 is relative to 2003, but wondered if anything else can be figured out via the embossed number. 0306559 Thanks.

Well, it’s a made in Japan Love Rock. Have you taken one of the pick ups out to see if the top is veneer or not?

I’m not able to see the back of the guitar right now, but if it’s a multi piece body then the top is likely veneer.

I've not touched the pick ups as I'm a bit of a novice to be honest. I have put on some pics of the back. I was gifted this, by a family friend who said he was told it was "worth a bob or two" I was just trying to establish a rough value so I just knew it's value. It's lovely to play. Thanks

I looked at your pictures. It looks like I am seeing a seam in the back in the mahogany. That would indicate a few things.

One is that it is a lower priced model, but made in Japan. So probably an LS70F?

If it is, you are looking at a veneer top, and polyurethane finish coating.

You can confirm by removing one of the pickups and looking to see if the top seam is continuous into the body or not.

Search Reverb for values.
