My brother bought this guitar a few years ago .
its a made in Japan tokai breezysound.
Ive had it on permanent loan , and I think it’s a really nice guitar.
I treated it to a new jack socket , new pots and wiring, and a Seymour Duncan quarter pounder but apart from that it’s stock.
I’ve not seen another one quite like it and I just wondered if anyone knew much about what model it is and a ballpark value ??

8) saw your pics closely and this is only my opinion so wait for more to get the truth of it please!

i have seen the current tokai guitars very closely maybe since 2006? but i havent seen any model like yours in japan. its ofcourse a genuine tokai guitar i believe but havent seen this model now and then in japan personally. its basically a telecaster-custom replica so its got the body bindings. yet the neck is the maple neck not the rosewood fretboard neck of the regular telecaster-custom. your sunburst is the 2 color sunburst but usually the tokai telecaster-custom is the 3 color sunburst. i am sure yours has the serial# on the bridge plate? since it isnt on the neck end. i feel that the possibilities are 3. one is that this guitar is a modified guitar by someone personally. two is that this guitar is a foreign tokai dealer ordered special guitar. three is that this guitar is a japanese shop-ordered special guitar in japan but now in the world. i personally feel that the possibility no.2 is most-likely. so maybe someone in the world knows it sure. sorry that i couldnt help you exactly when yours seems a genuine tokai telecaster. please wait for more opinions from the other forum members. thanks and gday!

It's a regular Made in Japan ATE (B), B for Binding Custom model, the colour is YS Yellow Sunburst.

Currently in 2020 it's a ATE106B YS.

8) the current ATE106B is available in the 3 color sunburst (yellow sunburst) w/rosewood fingerboard neck as its a 1959-1962 fender telecaster custom copy. yours is the 2 color sunburst which tokai calls it "golden sunburst" and the 50s style maple neck. so yours is obviously a telecaster custom copy like ATE106B but it isnt exactly. you should wait for the accurate infos from the other forum members later.
