Hello everyone.
A friend of mine recently gave me a 1992 Tokai Love Rock to sell on her behalf, but I can't seem to find much information regarding Tokai's made in that year.
From what I've found online, it looks like it could possibly be an LS70 or LS75, but I'm really not sure.
I can't tell whether this particular guitar was made in Japan or China/Korea, as it does not have made in Japan stamp on it.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

How many pieces is the mahogany back?

Also, have you pulled the pickups to see what they are or any marks in the cavity?

I had a similar LS55 GT from this period.

The back looks like it's comprised of two pieces, the neck and the body.
Under the top pickup it looks like it has "16 - LS 55" marked, but the bottom half is covered with the paint so can't be 100% certain.
The pickups themselves are unmarked, so no idea what kind they are.
Thank you for your help!

 The one I had had strange unmarked pickups where the pole pieces were screws that came through holes in the back of the pickups were missing.

So if it says LS55 then that is your model number.

16 is likely a color code or some other Tokai code.

If you look very closely the back probably has a very well blended seam. Probably 2/3 of the way across the back. Tokai was extremely good at hiding these seams.

Anyway, it looks like an LS55 GT to me.

Nothing to add, just wanted to add a voice to say that I agree with everything that's been said. LS55 GT, 1992, made in Japan.
