Serial Number Question

I have a Tokai sg152bp Bp model guitar
Serial number: 1941586
With a certificate of authenticity
I searched about it but I can’t find any results in any where if it’s really made by tokai or what year is made.

Its made in japan and btw the neck number matches with the coa.
My friend buy it from Dubai before 2 years from some unknown Music market by 5000 Saudi riyals .I don’t know I can’t found a dealer in the internet from someone work with Tokai.
I don’t know if it’s made by Tokai or not and how much it’s worth.And I think there’s a 2 type of machine heads
that Tokai uses in this model. I hope you can help me with this.Thank you

Ok that’s so good but what about the other things the two type machine heads and why I can’t found it in online also I can’t check the serial number.and it’s a custom shop guitar that’s what make me confused

Tuners can be changed. Do you have pictures of the back of the headstock?

And not sure what you mean about not being able to find the serial number. It’s on the COA and you said it matches the one on the guitar.

It was made in 2019, but it’s not shown in the 2019 catalog. That finish is shown that year on AST guitars.

It could be a shop order. Those often have “CM” in the model number but not always.

Yours is 2019. Here is one made in 2021 with the specs in the description.

SG152 BP

Limited SG model from the Tokai Custom Shop.

Made in Japan, year of construction: 2021.

Body made of selected African mahogany with eye-catching "Black Paisley" finish on the front and back.

The neck is also made of selected African mahogany (medium C profile) with rosewood fingerboard and 22 medium frets.

Fitted with Tokai PAF Vintage MK 2 S humbucker pickups.

Weight: 3.48 kg.

Your guitar is legit. Not sure if the new owners at Tokai are keeping specific information on serial numbers. I’ve never heard of them doing that. They may, I’ve just never heard of it.

I would not be worried about whether it is legit. Everything I’m seeing says it’s a Tokai made in Japan and possibly a special order. That German seller on Reverb is saying it is a special order and I have no reason to doubt that.

Painted guitars are rarely one piece. I would bet that the body is 2 piece African mahogany. You may be able to see a seam in the pickup cavity.

And no idea if the tuners are original. Specs vary for special orders. They look like a Grover rotomatic style tuner.
