I haven't played one yet but they appear to be well-made with a slightly different truss rod design. They are made by the same manufacturer that makes Ornetts guitars.

They are being cleared out here for cheaper than that with "used" sales of like new guitars for around $600.

Looks like they even have the same headstock as the second run of Ornettes...mine is from the first run and totally different in design, specs and quality than the later versions.
