I have been burned twice now by Buyee where they failed to enter my snipe bid at the end of a Yahoo auction that I really wanted.

I had no problem at all placing snipe bids through Jauce, but twice now with Buyee they have not entered my snipe bid. In both cases I placed a snipe bid far in excess of the final sales price, then found out AFTER the auction was over that the bid was not entered.

Has anyone else had an issue with a snipe bid not being entered on Yahoo Japan?

What service do you use? I have never had a problem with Jauce, but twice now with Buyee.

This is what their customer service said in an email response today:

Dear xxx,

This is the Buyee customer support.
Thank you for using our service.

We truly appreciate your time and effort in writing to us about this matter.

In line with your concern on ended auction xxx, unfortunately, the rules of JDirectItems Auction offer the sellers a great deal of authority.

They have the right to choose whom they wish to sell to, and thus they also have the right to cancel bids.

Usually, sellers do not provide us with any reasons why they canceled the bid.

We understand that it may not be fair, however, it is unfortunate that this is how JDirectItems Auction is operated. Sadly, we do not have any influence or control over the rules of JDirectItems Auction.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused this time and would kindly ask for your understanding.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
xxx

I've had two instances involving Buyee where my actual purchase ( Mercari listings ) were cancelled after I paid for them. Buyee said the product listing had been cancelled although I don't know how much truth there is to that. Generally speaking I don't use them much anymore. No sniper bid issues as noted above but I haven't tried either.
