I bought an LC85 from Richtone - just UK delivery though. Better than I had hoped for - quality build. Really good set up and very well packaged. Very helpful on phone talking over the options, gave sensible advice, and also very helpful on e-mails.

My LC85 bought a couple of months or so back from Richtone weighs in at appx 10 lbs, but has a wonderful tone and sustain to match. Was the last wine red in stock. Really solid and well built and, like all guitars with that magic wow factor, sounds like a much better guitarist than me is...

That is interesting - thanks for the post. How it actually is / was seems to keep changing depending on circumstances, and dare I say, sales. Any views whether the now trumpeted tonal advantage of chambered and weight relieved bodies are down to justifying what is done to heavier wood...

One that works for me is 1/2" rubber hose washers - either one or two on each strap pin, depending on how loose the strap is. Done this on sevaeral guitars and no failures as yet (fingers crossed). Very low cost alternative. :)
