    Greco neck profiles

80-82 Super Reals were 59 profiles. I have had 2 EGC1000s that were 22.5mm at the 1st fret. 70s and late 80s had thinner profiles. There is a thread in the mylespaul forum about MIJ neck profiles that might be useful.

    1981 Greco Spacey Strat (SE500)

Can post more pics if there is interest. Guitar is in really good condition with a small chip on the finish. I think the original owner didn't take it out of the house much. The original soft case even looks new.

    1981 Greco Spacey Strat (SE500)

I am based in Australia so this might be a long shot. I have a 1981 Spacey Sounds strat in pretty good shape. Really minimal fretwear. The guitar almost looks new with the exception of a few minor scratches and a chip in the finish. I am pretty interested in getting a telecaster with a...

    WTB premium Springysound/Goldstar

I have a Greco SE800 that was nitro finished and lightweight/resonant. It just has the crappy Jeff Beck pickups and microswitches. Swap in a mint green pickguard and proper pickups and it would be awesome.

    SE800J questions

That is a good point hiro. I agree with being hesitant to modify it. I've had the SE800J up for sale for a month or so with no bites. Didn't advertise it here though. I think the microswitches and colour combination make that particular model difficult to sell. I don't think the Jeff Beck...

    SE800J questions

I've got a 1981 SE800J. This model seems weird to me. Supposedly 60s style strat with Jeff Beck mods that he had at the time. But it is an 8 hole pickguard which I thought was 50s. I read somewhere that the pickups are all the same (ie. no reverse wound middle). I hate the black...

    Bacchus BSG models

I am curious about these as well. If anyone has one, can they measure the neck thickness at the 1st fret? I read somewhere that these had nice fat necks (which many of the originals did not). Always wanted an SG but the necks were too thin.

Tremolo arm replacement for 81 SE800?

I seem to recall someone saying the MIM strat tremolo arms fit in the old Grecos. Is that true? I have a super real that is missing the arm

FT: 1982 Greco Super Real Custom EGC68-80

GRECO EGC68-80 for trade: I am after a 335 style guitar with a fat neck. Not really interested in any solid body guitars. Features: Nitro violin burst finish. Original frets (>80% remaining) Real ebony fretboard and MOP inlays Waffleback tuners. 9.59lbs 50s profile neck with low action...

Allow me to say hi (ahem and to ask a question...)

I am looking into a 335 and just wondered if any of the Tokais have fat necks. It sounds like the newer Edwards are fatter in general. I want something like a 58 or at least 59 LP in terms of thickness.

Tokai Acoustics - how do they compare

"Compared to a Martin (price), my '80 - CE350S sure is." felixcatus, Is your 350S a solid top? I read an auction in Japan that called it a "special". Seems harder to find info on the acoustics than I thought it would be.

    Cat's Eyes Summary?

I am trying to piece together a summary of the Cat's Eyes guitars. (I was expecting to find one here.) I am going to post some of the limited information I have put together and hopefully others can fill in the blanks. Brief History (From Tokai Wiki): Tokai Guitars Company Ltd., is a Japanese...

SOLD: 1989 Greco RS900 Super Real Project

Changed my mind about the trade. I found something with a fat neck so now this is for sale :)

Figured it out myself. With the newer Navs, the first number is the year the guitar was made...

How to date the Limited Navigators by serial?

Does anyone know how to date the newer Navs by their serial #?

WTB: MIJ LP with 58 style neck.

I know. Even the R8s seem to vary greatly. I am starting to think that I will need to either buy and sell a few LPs before I find the one I like or go and try it in person before purchase.

SOLD: 1989 Greco RS900 Super Real Project

I saw that one. It is a little heavy and after the exchange it is around 2700 Aus + shipping from Europe. At this point, I am considering doing a trip to Japan anyways, so I will keep an eye out for the Jetstar seat sales. That way I can try out momose/bacchus/crews/navigator etc and figure...

WTB: MIJ LP with 58 style neck.

Both of those Bacchus LPs look pretty sweet. Haven't seen any of the earlier ones for sale. Almost impossible to get people to actually measure the neck thickness on their guitars I have discovered.

SOLD: 1989 Greco RS900 Super Real Project

He isn't interested in trades at this point. With the exchange into Euros it makes it a little too pricey to buy from the UK.
