I should probably point out that I didn't know the thing about the serial numbers- I was just going by the truss rod cover and the model number.

Far as I'm aware, it's not Japanese- the model number isn't a Japanese model, and it has a 3-screw truss rod cover (Japanese ones have 2 screws). The other regulars will know better than I do about the other questions. If it was a 2013 model, I think (but I could be wrong) that would mean it's...

I was (unfortunately) aware of both of those. I actually quite like some of the dimarzio models, but I can't say I'm in favour of those specific trademarks even being allowed to exist in the first place, let alone arguably not the originator of them owning said trademarks! In my opinion.

Very nice :D That's not unlike mine. 250k pots are standard for fender-style single coils I think. Not so sure about the cap (shouldn't it list its capacitance?). Does yours have a treble bleed cap on the volume? I think mine does (sounds like it does, anyway, I can't remember if I ever...

I think mine has Es. They sound more like the first clip. They are low output, though. And that second vid is using an HRD which isn't the best amp for dirt (and also the recording might not be as good as it was from one of those meet-ups). However... it's also possible that they can sound a bit...

Yeah I'd guess two as well. Look in the cavity of the trem, just behind the block (or behind the claw) perpendicular to the front/back of the guitar- that's often where it's easiest to see, the join and opposing grain show up slightly more clearly there. That's about the only place where I can...

That's a good point, I forgot about Brian Keenan's. He used to have some PRSes as you said (judging by the website, anyway). And yeah I'm not often in Dublin either.

Dublin had some PRS retailers last time I was there (but that was absolutely ages ago so obviously check before travelling). Music Maker I think.
