    surprise

The posts on my new es-135 are leaning forward towards the neck. Like the opposite of yours posts. Its not a big deal as it intonates fine but yeah still not perfect. If its any consolation I have seen pictures on the Les Paul forum of brand new Historics that have BIG post lean.

    What pots in a ES-135?

Thanks for that. I might just rewire the existing gear when I change pickups to 50's style.

    What pots in a ES-135?

Well no, they are fine at the moment. But have people experienced issues or problems down the track?

    What pots in a ES-135?

It is a very nice guitar. No one can help me out with my original question? Basically what I am trying to ask is, is it worth upgrading the pots/caps at all? I'll be upgrading the pickups down the track so I'm wondering if its worth doing a full electric upgrade at the same time? Like an RS...

    What pots in a ES-135?

haha I got some but they didn't turn out so great. Its so hard to photograph a guitar! I couldn't really capture the flame. But there is flame all over the top, sides and back as you would expect. Its nice and subtle which is just what I was hoping for. Not a big fan of over the top flame...

    What pots in a ES-135?

Hi all, Really, REALLY loving my new ES-135, especially now I changed strings and oiled the board. I was expecting that would need to upgrade the pots and pickups when I got it, but they are surprisingly awesome! Does anyone know what kind of pots they use? I can see they use orange drop caps...

    Got a Tokai ES-135!

Towards neck yeah. If its done on purpose then its all good. Like I said intonation is fine. I still need to get some new strings for it! I'm sure it would be even better then.

    Got a Tokai ES-135!

Yeah after inspecting the bridge a bit more it does look pretty good. One thing concerning me a little is it looks like my bridge posts may not have been drilled 100% straight. They kind of have a slight forward lean to them. Not parallel to the tailpiece studs. Is this common? The tailpiece...

    Got a Tokai ES-135!

Music Workshop Sydney hooked me up with a Cherry Red Tokai ES-135 and it arrived today. I must say its awesome. Initially I found the action too high so it felt a little strange to play but then I lowered it a tad and tweaked the truss rod to dial out a little relief and it was awesome. I have...

Really want an ES Tokai but can't find any.

Thanks guys. I tried stratmoto but couldn't get a reply. Any other ideas? ES-339's do look nice but in Australia they are still expensive.

Really want an ES Tokai but can't find any.

Hi all, I posted here quite a while ago about thinking of getting a Tokai ES style. Unfortunately the store here is having problems communicating with Tokai, apparently they just wont reply to emails anymore. Therefore I have no way of playing one or even ordering one through a store. I was...

Wanting to get a Tokai, Few Questions.

Thank you very much for that informative post!! Looks like I wont be buying online then. I just assumed it would work out a little cheaper online but I see I was wrong. It basically seems like the ES130 might be the one to get. I don't like square inlays too much and I like a bit of flame...

Wanting to get a Tokai, Few Questions.

I am actually in Australia. Sorry I didn't put my location in my profile. Thanks for the info. I am thinking maybe I'll try them in store if I can and see how the necks feel etc but might purchase online. Unless of course I try one in person that blows me away. How can I tell which is...

Wanting to get a Tokai, Few Questions.

Hi all! I have been wanting to get an ES type Tokai for a while now. There is a store in my home state called B music that is a dealer. Although they are still quite pricey. One thing I am confused with is all the versions. There is ES60, ES110, ES130, ES135. Can someone explain the...
