Trouble with the small frets is there isn't a lot of actual metal inthem so if they have been played by someone who is pretty rough on bending and generally heavy finger pressure they will get worn down. You might get two or three fret dressings out of them but eventually you'll need new frets...

Looks all wrong. I have a Tokai and it doesn't look like this body. The finishing is all wrong - the paint looks way too thick. The strap button is wrong and the upper horn is slightly different in shape. Anyone want to guess where the PU assembley comes from?

Yes I had one of these in 1964. The blue one comes from pre 64/63 and the black and white one like the one I had is post 64 I think. Nice bit of retro kit. I had this from about 18 months back before I started playing R&B in London and used it for Ventures and Duane Eddy stuff.

Suggest you make one - - go to Stewart McDonald guitar website or an All Parts deasler and get a black pice of plastic - cut it out and finish it yourself. All these dealers in parts stock Gibson Style pickguards anyway if you want one finished.
