Thanks for that, you are right. I always thought the trem was a Gotoh GE101TS but just tried both my Bacchus Strats with a magnet and they are definitely not steel. cheers

The 62s and 64s neck profiles are the same from memory, my white one is a 57 relic, yours is a relic too isn't it? The necks are big on the 57s, I like them :)

Thanks Marcus, I think so too, but Tele gas has struck, and my white Bacchus Strat gets more play time than this one

    Transitional Springy?

Nitro on a ST80 and above, poly on everything else. Lovely guitars either way though, an ST50 is a great Strat! (although not as great as my Bacchus) ;)

To quality Japanese Strat, easily as good as a Fender reissue, nitro finish with matching headstock, Gotoh Hardware etc, was looking for £700 ONO including quality original Bacchus gig bag Now open to offers or trades, possible a les Paul custom in black, cash either way

Thinking of a PRS - am I mad?

I have two lovely Tokais a reborn ls120 and a reborn old ls80, and my USA PRS CE gets more use than either, not that it's 'better' just that it too is a great guitar, plays and sounds fab, and covers just about every style you could ever want. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend one! Buy online...

Advice on a Fender Japan tele

I'm looking at buying a 84 Fender Japan Paisley tele, looks great sounds great but has no serial nUmber either on the neck or bridge. Is this normal? Anything else I should check to ensure its authentic? The pickups have been changed BTW Cheers

    UK - 1979 Reborn LS120

In as good condition as you will ever find, practically mint! Old Sunburst, not the usual Cherry, upgraded pots & pickups (Peter Florance Voodoo's) original circuit board but no original pickips. Original Brown Tokai hard case. Will post pics later tonight looking for ?2500

Does the weight of a guitar influence its sound?

I've had quite a few Les Pauls, some heavy and some light and they all sound 'different', but IMO there are too many other factors to consider (hardware, pickups, construction), and the way a guitar sounds is a sum of all of these so it's really difficult to say what effect weight alone has.

Got to be better than not riding one at all :) As I get older I find I do most things in my Jimjams
