    Oh I guess it's "7=6" based on the first post in this thread? Looks more like a zero but could just be how it's been written.

    ok I've done a bit of light wet and dry sanding and it seems to have brought out the code a bit better - not sure what it represents though

    Unfortunately it's been resprayed more than once and the maker's marks are almost indecipherable... This is a view of the channel where the electrics sit I could probably apply some paint remover and it may show it more clearly but I really don't want to mess with it any further tbh.

    Yes I was wondering if it may be earlier than 1984 due to the original "fender-esq" decal. Unfortunately the original switch has gone awol but I know I have it around somewhere. I imported it from Japan around 15 years ago and am sure it was all stock. Just need to go through my many parts bins...

    Nice list - I was searching the interweb for details on my lefty breezysound and there it is :) 19863. It's a lovely guitar though it's been through a few changes over the years. Currently trying to get it back to the original spec.
