    1981 Springy

V neck will make it a higher end model. But it's really hard to tell since ST 80 above has a soft V for most of them.

    1981 Springy

I saw on the neck plate that it was made in 1981. 1981 ST80s are two piece bodies as specified in catalog. I believe 1980 and earlier ones are one-piece bodies. I do believe a 1981 ST100 had a flamed neck. And yes, there are ST100s with nickel hardware. But Its probability being an ST 50 is much...

    1981 Springy

It's probably a 1981 ST 50. The 60 and 80 are two-piece bodies but I can't find any seam in the middle of the body. 1981 ST 100 would have a flame top and gold hardware.

also, the pickup looks too new compared to the knob... Is that normal?

The finish looks weird under this light... Is it a nitro?

    Extremely Rare 1981 PB75

the pb75 means a customization of color, if I remember from the 1982 catalog correctly.

    Mystery Springy

I'll ask for more details. So far I guess the model would fall in 1981 ‘64 st50-80 or 1982 '64 st50, 60, 80. It does not have a slab fretboard so it must be a '64 model.

    Mystery Springy

Yea, and it is not any limited edition nor any special model such as ST70. Do you think it has a V-shape?

    Mystery Springy

This is probably between 1981 to 1982 because prior to that all the models were '54 so the headstock model is different.

    1981 PB85R N

The price is quite reasonable. I bought mine JB120 for 2000 bucks, and this is just half of the price.

    Mystery Model 1998 LC Custom

The fretboard material seems different. But the inlay does look similar. Yet according to the serial number, this is def manufactured in japan... I personally really likes this type of inlay, probably the only tokai I would saw with this inlay.

    Mystery Model 1998 LC Custom

It is also possible that the previous owner changed a new fretboard. I’ll def post more pics once I receive it.
