Intonation seems to be fine. Yesterday, looking through Tony Bacon’s ES book, I noticed that Keef’s black 59 355 has a similar (not as pronounced) bridge placement.

The guitar arrived in fine shape, and after restringing I did some comparisons with a 1960 345, 2008 Tokai ES Custom (Throbaks), 2013 Gibson Rusty Anderson Signature, new Gibson Custom ‘64 335, Collings I35LC (Ron Ellis Sigs), and a Collings I35 LC Vintage (Throbaks). The pickups in the ES100R...

Interesting. Three hours driving time from me. If only it were sunburst. I was playing mine yesterday, and still would love to know more of the origin of this run.

While the MKIIs in my 2008 ES Custom (ES 205) were probably custom ordered (normal PAF specs - no hot bridge), they sounded excessively bright to me. I had them replaced with Throbaks.

Found the post when he received the guitar! http://www.tokaiforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11782 His dealer told him that there were only six of these made and had upgraded woods and a thicker neck.
