The ‘85 catalogue states that the TLC60 BB has a Mahogany 2-piece top and mahogany back. Is this the model that my ‘84 TLC65 JS BB is based on? https://www.vintagejapanguitars.com.br/en/tokai-1985-catalogue/

If it’s a simple upgrade from the LC60 then it will be the 2-piece mahogany top with a mahogany back

Thanks everyone, I think we have a consensus: it’s an LC65-JS BB. The investigation has been interesting and I’ve learnt a lot about my new purchase and Tokai’s in general. Any clue as to its real value?

Here’s a picture of the back of the headstock. I forgot to add this earlier.

Unfortunately there was no paperwork with the guitar. The guitar was sold as an LS152S-JS BB but I have no idea why they thought that was the model number. I’ll ask them and report back. Not sure what the link is with the PCB? Did these only exist in certain models?

I’ve just reread the receipt after looking at your response and realised that I got the model name slightly wrong (I missed an ‘s’). It states that it’s a LS152S-JS BB
