    LS152 JS BB?

I found this one too: https://www.faberguitar.com/Tokai-LC65-BB-1984-L43. It's not a JS but it's nearly the same!

    LS152 JS BB?

No problem. I’ve been grateful for all the help and have learnt a lot about my guitar and Tokai in general. Thanks for all the contributions

    LS152 JS BB?

Definitely rosewood, it’s not dark enough to be ebony

    LS152 JS BB?

The ‘85 catalogue states that the TLC60 BB has a Mahogany 2-piece top and mahogany back. Is this the model that my ‘84 TLC65 JS BB is based on? https://www.vintagejapanguitars.com.br/en/tokai-1985-catalogue/

    LS152 JS BB?

I’m no expert but it does look like mahogany to me. Here’s a view of the bridge pickup:

    LS152 JS BB?

If it’s a simple upgrade from the LC60 then it will be the 2-piece mahogany top with a mahogany back

    LS152 JS BB?

Thanks everyone, I think we have a consensus: it’s an LC65-JS BB. The investigation has been interesting and I’ve learnt a lot about my new purchase and Tokai’s in general. Any clue as to its real value?

    LS152 JS BB?

I’ve found this thread and the serial numbers are very similar: http://www.tokaiforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=57697 Unfortunately the pictures are no longer available so I can’t confirm it’s definitely the same as mine

Here’s a picture of the back of the headstock. I forgot to add this earlier.

    LS152 JS BB?

Unfortunately there was no paperwork with the guitar. The guitar was sold as an LS152S-JS BB but I have no idea why they thought that was the model number. I’ll ask them and report back. Not sure what the link is with the PCB? Did these only exist in certain models?

    LS152 JS BB?

Could this be the man himself playing this model, it certainly looks like it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnzfE8war2w **EDIT** It looks like Sykes is playing this one in the video: The Tokai TLC65-JS BB is clearly a Japanese copy of this custom Gibson LP.

    LS152 JS BB?

I think I may have found it: https://www.mylespaul.com/threads/tokai-john-sykes.375607/. It looks identical to this one (from what I can see) and might therefore be a TLC65-JS BB. The JS stands for John Sykes. Anyone know any history of this model or would attempt to put a value on it? It...

    LS152 JS BB?

Thanks for the tip. I've uploaded the images to imagebb. Hopefully these are accessible? What do you think? Can anyone confirm the model or know any history about these? I'm keen to learn as much as I can.

    LS152 JS BB?

I’ve just reread the receipt after looking at your response and realised that I got the model name slightly wrong (I missed an ‘s’). It states that it’s a LS152S-JS BB

    LS152 JS BB?

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m more than happy to share photos. However, I can’t seem to be able to attach / upload files to the thread. Am I missing something?

    LS152 JS BB?

Hi I'm pleased to have bought my first Tokai today which apparently is an LS152 JS BB. However there is no official documentation with it so I am appealing to your expert knowledge to try and confirm this. The serial number is indented on the back of the headstock and starts with 402xxxx so I...
