I’ve owned this ‘81 ES-100J for 5 years. It’s needed new frets since I got it. Was playable, but barely. I imagine the frets were similar to those on the “Fretless Wonder” Black Beauties. Definitely no more fret life for a level.

I was swapping pickups in my 1980 Greco SS-700 and the pickup routes appear to have been done by hand. Or at least the router was guided by hand.
I’ve seen the cavities of one other ‘80 SS-700 and they look very similar.
