Looks like a late 70s Fernandes Stone logo Sen ash bodied Strat. Could be made by Kawai. or Matsumoku ,probably not Tokai wrong pup routing .Grey back pups made by Gotoh like the Tokai pups without the stamps.

Almost certainly alder. They had ,mostly stopped using Sen Ash by this time.

Pretty certain this is a 1984 Goldstar. Nice guitar.

There is a very high chance that your bass is made of alder. Even when Tokai use ash ,it was never a true ash , it was Sen which is an unrelated species which tonally resembles Alder.

Looks like Sen to me.There is a sort of 3D quality to the grain, a kind of chatoyance whereas alder tends to be flatter and more 2D.
