Re: Les Paul Reborn & Refinished?

looks like a 3 piece top & the back looks like it is also a 3 piece so, seems to have the specs for a LS-50.

$2168 USD for a refinished LS-50 seems a bit rich but then hey

the extra 6 plugged holes in the maple top are just a bonus

looks like Michael & company must have had shoe envy 'cause they couldn't steal the much taller shoes from Ace, Gene, and Paul

Thanks!

Nut is 1.67"

1st fret is 1.69" (1-11/16").

was wondering about neck thickness; my guess is it is fairly thin & not thick at all. Could be wrong tho'

I personally have never had a Goldstar with a thick neck

Re: ST70 "Rare Model" Springy

HOLY CRAP Batman :o that is one SWEET AXE 8) and rare as hens teeth to boot :D CONGRATS :D what is the neck thickness like at the...

Re: " 2022 TOKAI FORUM COOL GUITAR CONTEST! "

Thanks. Still not sure what "cool" means, but I like the nerdy "guitar freak" stuff that Tokai did in the early 80s with its "Rare" models where they copied rare vintage Fender & Gibson guitars. All that said, it’s hard to beat a straight up Les Paul or Strat design, and Tokai has made some great o...

I'm not sure how you define cool?
Is cool the guitar with the best tone?
Or most unique/rare?
Or interesting design features?
Or best photos?
Past or currently owned?
And is it just Tokai or are other brands welcome?

OP states, "everybody and any guitar is welcome" :D

Re: Yeah! Tokai Forum is back up & running, again

 what happened? ned! a TF member emailed me on December 20 saying they were unable to log in for a few days. I then tried to log in, multiple times but no luck. I noticed no one had posted since December 17 so, the site was inaccessible for ~11 days. I have noticed over the past few years tha...

Re: Custom & Non Production Tokais

I always found it a bit interesting that Tokai placed the LS-320 Love Rock Model in catalog literature yet Tokai claimed the LS-320 examples to be 'order' only. Seems Tokai wanted it both ways?

It'll settle down for hobbyists but not for the sneaky business sellers whom are trying to avoid taxes nor the freaky people that think the government want to take control of their minds.

Re: Are Reverb, Ebay, etc., history now?

I suppose this new wrinkle may have the potential to impact Reverb more than eBay since eBay sellers sell such a wide array of items but Reverb is pretty much geared toward music instruments, and music gear associated items

The difference between the thickest neck (.930") & thinnest neck (.858"), at fret 1, is .072", which is basically 3 mm.
@guitar hero - 0.072" is 1.8 mm ;)
I stand corrected :)

Are Reverb, Ebay, etc., history now?

I received an email from Reverb stating, quote, "Beginning January 1, 2022, marketplaces like Reverb will be required to collect tax identification information from sellers who sell $600 or more on the platform in a calendar year." I believe the previous reporting threshold was $20K in a calendar ye...
