It'll settle down for hobbyists but not for the sneaky business sellers whom are trying to avoid taxes nor the freaky people that think the government want to take control of their minds.

Re: Are Reverb, Ebay, etc., history now?

I suppose this new wrinkle may have the potential to impact Reverb more than eBay since eBay sellers sell such a wide array of items but Reverb is pretty much geared toward music instruments, and music gear associated items

The difference between the thickest neck (.930") & thinnest neck (.858"), at fret 1, is .072", which is basically 3 mm.
@guitar hero - 0.072" is 1.8 mm ;)
I stand corrected :)

Are Reverb, Ebay, etc., history now?

I received an email from Reverb stating, quote, "Beginning January 1, 2022, marketplaces like Reverb will be required to collect tax identification information from sellers who sell $600 or more on the platform in a calendar year." I believe the previous reporting threshold was $20K in a calendar ye...

Re: Current Love Rock neck size and Catalogue

I have no idea how to classify how any maker is the better maker, nor how consistent any maker is within their own set, quality control standard(s). Having been heavily involved with engineered, and manufactured products, over a multi decade period, I have seen how most any manufacturer sets manufac...

Re: Current Love Rock neck size and Catalogue

IMHO nothing about neck profile/size means a thing, unless you have a specific example in hand. I have had enough similar/same examples in hand, from respective manufacturers, to know that not all neck profiles/sizes are created equal, within any particular model line. Some makers have demonstrated ...

Re: OK to mod?

Howdie folks. I just checked my profile and found that the last time I posted on this forum was 2007. Where did those 14 years go?!?! Back then I was the happy owner of 3 new Tokai 335's. Two of them are now with friends in the UK and US. The third one, natural finish and best sounding IMHO, now ha...

Re: UK Goldstar Sound sale feeler?

Thanks for all the interest and analysis, very interesting. Where would I find the neck and body codes? I bought this guitar in '85 and picked it from three in the store in Glasgow. All three were all metallic red with rosewood. I picked this one because it sounded and felt the best to me. Which wa...

Re: Best Love Rock model and year

AFA the potential for a re-fret: I seriously doubt the guitar has been re-fretted. I know the Reverb member well enough to know that if he had any knowledge of a re-fret he would certainly have mentioned that in the listing. It was quite common for the higher end Tokai LS examples from the era to be...

Re: Best Love Rock model and year

I believe they where some really eye candies with top specs in all decades… And of course, those LS3xx something are no brainers too... honestly. Any good tokai of their premium lineup will very probably be killer. I always recommend on those Tokai to change the pickups for Amber pickups. I find th...
