@mdvineng, the 7 digit serial number is stamped on the plastic back plate not the neck plate. Don't you think that this very strange ? I've never seen this before on any Tokai, although the font looks totally legit.

Wow that's another curve ball! Looks authentic though. Maybe they had a few sakes too many in their lunch hour at the factory. It does look the neck has been off before. It was not unknown for guitar salesman to swap Tokai necks from maple to rosewood and vice versa for a customer,( or for themselves) back in the day, especially if they had several models in the shop at the time. I think that ATO is right .Its from the crazy 90s!What is even more bonkers is that these guitars had hex truss rods like the old Springys not the cross head that we have become accustomed to. Did they find a hidden stash of sen ash and old springy truss rods in some dusty stockroom? the mind boggle...

Image I have seen 3 piece Matsumoku made sen ash bodies on both Aria Pro 11 strats and Kimbaras like this one but they usually had a narrow neck plates.
