So… after a looonger wait than anticipated, my tokai jazz sound fretless arrived. There is, sure enough, a very faint trace of the previous decal, as mentioned before. Nowhere near as obvious as the one in the picture from mdvineng… but it’s there. I can also see where it previously had JAZZ...

About the decals… the seller mentioned that there is a faded/removed decal underneath, which can be felt and seen in the right light. Obviously can’t be seen from the photos, so I’ll see how that looks when it arrives.

It should arrive in the next day or two, so I’ll post some more pictures when it does. Interesting point re: the decals. I hadn’t spotted that, but yeah that might suggest later than 81. Would there be any cases where the 7 digit SN would be on a later bass? Thanks very much for the info and...
