MIJ Tokais.... Metric or Imperial for bridge upgrade.

All of my MIJ Tokais were metric.

    Tokai ST-85 1979 price?

If it's all original and you like that finish, it's not a terrible price for a pretty rare guitar. The natural finish just isn't my thing.

Help to dating my Tokai ST80 Springy Sound Red Fiesta

looks narrow to me! i'm sure that serial is '78 so that would make yours a very early example, as i believe '78 was the first year of production... also a pretty rare color i believe...

Help to dating my Tokai ST80 Springy Sound Red Fiesta

Welcome to the forum. I think that's a very early one, the number beginning with the 8 implies '78 I believe... does it have the more narrow neck plate too? Looks sweet!

The top looks more like an 1800 than a 1200 to me

I believe it's an 850 or 1000 with the Dry Z's added. Solid-top 1800's do not have painted pickup cavities.

    Wanted: DRY Z Pickups

Aloha Cliff! It has been ages, hope you are well. I just snatched another set of Z's myself (in an EGF)... will be curious to hear your thoughts on the SA, I do love mine!

Titles says it all, bracket and screws are a plus but not necessary. Or if you have one you could trace for me that would be helpful as well. Original preferred. Thanks fellas!

Guitar Gai has an '81 LS100 for sale right now:

Unbelievable guitar, OHSC, pics and deal here. Cool to see an early '81 with the correct crown inlay... I also just noticed for the first time that the 900's have the screw-down tuners, which I'd personally prefer... the press-in tuners on my 1200 are begging to be replaced.
