Let's see when it arrives what it is really :) As I learned in this short period of engagement with the Tokai guitars, there are a lot of uncertainties and contradicting information, which I believe all build up in this mystery and all the riddles, and for sure adds to the hype for already...

If I end up buying it, I will be happy to contribute to the documentation if I can :)

If you look carefully, on the top of the skunk stripe, on the right, that little light stripe seams as it is following the neck shape.

The seller said it is a "Its full, not base ball bat but full, light V,"

amazing info! Thank you! Is the 5 digit serial right for a st60? because, if it would be a 5 digit, it would make it a 1964 Fender copy, if it woudl be a 4 digit, it would be a 1954 strat copy. I also saw different statements, people stating that st60s have 4 or 5 digit serial or it starts...

Here on page 2 when you enlarge the catalog, you can see that the st60, the one with the maple neck, is described as a 1954 replica and has a V neck https://www.vintagejapanguitars.com.br/en/tokai-1984-1985-traditional-series-catalogue/

The seller states it is an ST60, though it has U pickups. It has a 5 digit serial, and a soft V shape. This last should make it a ST60 that is a 54 replica, at least according to the catalog of 1984 ( st60 with a rosewood neck has a 64 U shape neck)?

This is a stamp on my Tokai ss38 with 22 xxxxx serial Sigmania mentioned/showed a comment or two before. I think it is safe to say that they came from the exact same factory!

I am thinking of change the original Saddles on my ss38. Unfortunately, the 4 decades did their thing and the strings cut into the saddles. I was thinking of Highwood Contoured Vintage Saddles. Now the issue is I don't have any proper measuring instrument on me. Could someone help me out and...

I have too less of a knowledge on the topic, even all of this was a wild ride for me :) But what I know is that Japanese companies rather help each other out, than to compete. For example, Nikon owns shares in Canon, and vice versa. I think there is also a story about the time when USA...
