Does anybody have a Dillion "Gibson clone" or a Korean Dean? I really like the TV yellow Dillion LP Junior knockoff specificially.

I have heard good things about these guitars. Is Dillion a brand owned by Tokai?

If I were to take one of these and hot rod it with top of the line electronics and hardware, would it be comparable to a Japanese Tokai or Epiphone, for example?

thanks!!

Korean workmanship is pretty darn good these days. The Dillion you refer to gets rave reviews from owners, however they are not made of the wood that Gibson used which kinda turned me off. This fact apparently does nothing to take away from the quality or sound.

I think you'd be happy with the guitar. Like I said, because of the wood used I did not purchase one of these but rather bought an Agile 2200jr. The Agile is another Korean-made LP jr copy but is made of mahogany like the Gibson it was modelled after.
