Post by Shaatainen » Tue May 28, 2019 3:45 am

Hi! I just registered to forum and this is my first post.
I changed my PRS SE to this tokai goldstar sound.

Does anybody know what model it is and is it made in japan?
Seller sayed that its from late 80' and MIJ but im not that sure..

Edit: Problem solved

Looks like the neck is 100% Tokai.

The body and pickups are not.

Bridge pickup is changed to duncan little 59 but those other two should be originals. Maby original korean? :D what about that sticker in body, does that tell anything?

I don't recognize the stamp in the neck pocket myself, perhaps an aftermarket body ?? If you were sold this guitar as 100% original MIJ Tokai Goldstar i'm sorry to say you've been taken. Goldstars didn't come routed for a humbucker bridge, nor did they have that black shielding paint in the cavities.

I can say that is 100% MIJ Tokai Goldstar neck. The neck plate possibly Tokai also.
