8) i always love the blues. but my hometown yokosuka only has some jazz not any blues. in japan, osaka is the blues town and tokyo has some, too. how about your town? do you have the blues playing in your hometown?

Here's a couple of my fellow Dallas musician friends from a couple of weeks ago.

Holland K Smith on left, Shawn Pittman on right....playing a little Texas style strat blues.

I love Texas Blues!

Me too.... most people think that it's only Stevie Ray Vaughan but it's far deeper than that (Freddie King, Lightnin Hopkins, Tbone Walker, etc). When you listen to people like Shawn and Holland, you can hear it.

Here's another one of our pivotal Texas guitar players - Anson Funderburgh playing with his late front man of his band, Sam Myers. Listen to his guitar work. That's Texas blues....

Side note - Anson's drummer, Danny Cochran, is also who was playing drums with Shawn and Holland in the previous clip I put up.

I actually prefer the "less is more" approach of SRV's older brother Jimmie in his playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqyB8A8YG1w

Another great guitar player, Kid Bangham who plays in a very similar style that Jimmie Vaughan and Anson Funderburgh do - this is really a great instrumental on a Strat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_e0yWIiQsA&index=2&list=RDEM6O8d8yEKnDuLNLJVVV6flA

Brothers..... talking about the record they made together by the same name, Brothers. Still one of my favorite albums:
