1. Bacchus "Vintage Series" Strat-style BST-59 type (if there is such a model)
$525 US + shipping from Canada to where you are.[/b]

Made by the fine folks at Deviser/Headway in the well-regarded "Vintage Series". Exceptional workmanship and materials. I'm calling it a BST-59 since it has a 3-ply guard with a maple board (no fill holes in the body to indicate that it is not original). The 6500 level serial number suggests late 1990's or early 2000's from what I can see on the net regarding Bacchus.

- Ash body
- Nitro topcoat
- The neck measures 24 mm thick at the 11th fret. Fairly comfortable C-shape
- Vintage radius neck/fretboard
- Yuta-made alnico pickups
- Comes with tremolo bar. 3 springs in the tremolo
- 3.7 kg on my bathroom scale
- The frets have some minor wear and I would say are at 7/10 remaining overall
- Truss rod works fine and neck is basically straight with some slight relief
- Some light scratching on the front and back but not really noticeable

I'm planning to ship with the neck detached to minimize shipping costs.
Paypal or Interac transfer works for me.

2. Greco SE-500 1981
$400US + shipping from Canada to where you are.

Made by the fine folks at Fujigen in November 1981. Excellent player’s condition guitar that has a nice vintage patina on the metal parts and slightly yellowed pickguard. Oozes mojo.

- 3 piece sen-ash body at 3.6 kg
- Some light fret wear on the b and g strings (see photos). Plenty of fret life left. I would say they are at 7/10 remaining overall
- Comes with tremolo bar. 3 springs in the tremolo. Works well with good tuning stability.
- Truss rod works fine and neck is basically straight set with some slight relief
- Very nice resonance and sustain. The later Super Real pickups are very well made.
- All original parts.
- Has the more vintage correct Kluson-style tuners

I'm planning to ship with the neck detached to minimize shipping costs.
Paypal or Interac transfer works for me.

Bargain, when you consider I recently sold a SEVEN piece body 1977 Fender strat. for $1326 that was refinished, and refretted, on e-bay uk.
Best part of the strat. was the great sounding pickups, wonder what's in this one?

Yes, they are the flat-pole Excels. Fujigen made these 70's Fender models better than the originals!

Yo Harold, that Sonix Strat is the bees knees; someone better grab that quick & at that price it's a no brainer.

I would be all over that but I bought two fiddles (no Crews tho') this week so, I'm in a 'holding' pattern

yo Harold, are the pickup poles on the Bacchus flat, or beveled?

They are flat. One more thing, I noticed that the neck is not 1-pc but rather has a maple cap.

flat poles in that serial # range = Alnico Special, as seen on page 41 of the 1998 catalog

some of my favorite Fender style pickups

interesting set of attributes for this example suggest a custom order, IMO: ash body typical for a BST-54V, maple cap neck which I have seen only on the BST-67V, and the 11 hole pick guard which seems to match the holes in the body

I'm guessing this one is around a 1996/1997 production but with Bacchus it's difficult to peg exactly

someone is gonna be a happy camper with that Strat
