Hello,
My name is Marc.
Before all, excuse my bad english, I'm from France.
Happy to find this forum.
I'm looking for a light bass.
I actually have a Hofner Ignition violin bass.
Very light, lot of pleasure with but too much limited with it sound.
I was very surprise to see that hardpuncher are very light too.

I have some questions about them.
Are they the only light tokai?

How to recognize a good hardpuncher to a bad one?

Is there good years?

What do I have to check to be sure that every thing is from origine?

Where can I fing good second hands one? :)

Thanks for your help.

Hi, the hardpunchers are fender p bass style and as such on the weighty side. The VSB range are lighter but even rarer, though one was on sale in France last year, might still be. Ebay search saved for newly listed is probably the best way to find one and look on reverb too! The only guide to best quality is that the higher the model number usually indicates a higher level guitar. I would take any opportunity to see them in person and play them to see if it suits you. I had a Hohner violin bass in the late 60's, they don't get any lighter than those.

Good luck
