I'm interested to know which pickups your tone knobs control.

Looks like top tone knob on mine is: N, NM, M, MB
Bottom tone knob controls the MB and bridge positions.

This is on a stock '80 ST60

Do you have yours set up diffently?

My '84 MIJ fender Strat is
Volume
Tone for neck
Tone for middle and bridge

I think it would work best to have one tone knob for middle and the other one for bridge and neck, that way you could always balance tone no matter where the pu selector was. I might give that a try one day.

Hi all,

The stock Stratocaster wiring is -
tone 1 = neck pup
tone 2 = middle pup.
No tone control for bridge pup

I prefer to change them to . . .
Tone 1 = middle pup
Tone 2 = bridge pup
No tone control for neck pup however I do space it lower to help give it a warmer tone. Also, in Position 2 ( B+M), you can add tone using the Tone 1 pot from the middle pup.
