Hello everybody, long time lurker here humbly asking for your help

i found this '77 SS 600 for sale.
Seller claims U2000 pickups. In the 77 catalogue I read for this model PU-2

He sent me this pics (the serial is to confirm the date of production).
Other details correspond to the model but this pickups...handwritten serial???

I have a theory:

Now, as you can see, the serial number is handwritten and not stamped and it's hard to understand what it says. From the information i gathered on this site, the 6 digits serial number was used from '77 to 82:

The serial number: ABCCDD
A: production line code (1: prototype line (very rare pickup), the other numbers are the production line numbers.)
B: year of manufacture (e.g. 1977 was shown as "7".)
CC: month, 01=Jan ... 09=Sep., 10=Oct., 11=Nov., 12=Dec.
DD: day of the month (01 to 31)

Could this be one of the first 6 digits pickup made in the end of 1976? the serial could be read as 161228. So it would be a prototype made the 28th of december 1976.

Anyway I've written this to Maxon itself cause I have nothing better to do apparently!

edit:this could have indeed some sort of plausibility cause the PU-2, which is the pickup that this guitar should hve according to the '77 catalogue, was indeed introduced in 1977. So this could be the first production run or maybe i'm just a fool which is way more plausible
