That's a mid 70's Celica (high school era car for me) and a friend had one. Loved it. Also brings to mind the Datsun (pre Nissan) lineup.... the iconic 240Z, and the 510 which was a great little track car. |

I leaned to drive stick on an old Datsun Corona, great cars unless you lived somewhere where they salted the roads. |

WTF - salted the roads??? What does that mean?
I have been the proud owner of 2 Datsun 240K Coupe (77 & 7 numerous 200B, an '88 300z and 2 Mazda 929 Coupe [ 82 HBSHE and 86 HBSE].
In all my years I must say I found the Nissan engine virtually bulletproof. Engine outlasted the body.

Sorry for my poor English, In parts of Canada, in the wintertime, salt gets thrown down on the roads by the tonnage, if you have a nice car, you store it for the winter, if not, even with rust sprays etc you'd be lucky to get 15 years out of most any car. |

Wow, I did not know that. It never gets that bad here in Australia - It's winter here now and the days are 21C [69F] and nights are 9C [48F]
At it's coldest, in Sydney it hits 11C [52F] day and 6C [43F] night and it's sunny 75% of the season.
Come over sometime, check it out. _________________ The world will not end today...because it is already tomorrow in Australia. |

2 years ago we had a though winter (for Belgium standards) and after some time there was a salt shortage. We have big hangars with massive piles of salt, but those guys with their salt throwing trucks seem to be compulsive about overdoing it.
I once was overtaken by a convoy of salt spraying trucks on the highway, quite an experience. |

Some pictures of the interior?
Did you buy it as it is, or have you restored it/tidied it up yourself?
Most days I'm glad I've only got motorbike license, but when you see cars such as yours - you start to question yourself if you should.. As a hobby at least. |
