Date a Tokai Jazz Sound bass

Been trying for a day now to find out when this bass is from, so i figured I would ask you guys about it. :)

Serial number is 225113

Tokai Fender bass replicas are very difficult to date and the serial unfortunately only indicates which Fender model it copies. Based on the logotype and tuners I'd say mid to late 80s.

Probably from '82-84 (due to the fender shaped headstock), though we'd have to see the front of the H/S to tell which year.

They aren't that hard to date going by the decals. Check out the Tokairegistry.com, here, for more info:

The Tokai Hard Puncher looked the same from 1984 into the 90's.
The headstock only changed in the US and that actually started as early as 1983.
For hard facts, vintaxe.com is well worth a one month subscription for their treasure trove of Tokai and other catalogues.
