can anybody help me to find out wether this greco sg 61 is a korean or japan model? there is no serial number..the seller says the it is from 1988.
I looked in internet and found some information that no serial code could be from 1988...it has edge binding ..if it helps....

thanks

It might have edge binding but it doesn't have fret edge binding. Compare the slope of the joined pieces of body wood with this SG. http://www.tokaiforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=4993&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=225

Have a look at the neck heel and how it has a separate neck heel which means it's a lower model and Cort made the no serial lower model Grecos. It also has a brick shaped nut from what I can see.

Tokai made some no serial Grecos but they are higher models and different and Tokai didn't make any Greco SG's as far as I know.

Korean. The headstock logo gives it away. The Fujigen Greco logo from the Mint Collection era is much more nicely executed. I think the Korean "cut O" logo looks night and day different.
