I'm new to the Tokai registry. Just bought my first Tok this week. My list is:

1995 Fender Custom Shop Nocaster Relic
1995 Fender Jeff Beck Strat (Warmoth neck)
1963 Gretsch Tennessean
1980 Yamaha SG2000
1931 National Triolean
1980 Guild D40C
Homemade Walnut body Telecaster
Tokai J200 (on its way to me right now)

Amps:
1959 Fender Princeton
1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb

That's that. Anyone ever figure out how to play more than one at a time?

Hey Ned, I'm also a Boston fan (I just bought the new album), the only difference is that I own a 1984 Love Rock goldtop :D . I have all the Boston albums I think.

Mike

Now I feel less guilty, and almost inadequate .

1) 1978 Les Paul Reborn; plain cherry-burst (dead stock).
2) 1990 Love Rock; drop-dead honey burst w/nickel hardware (not very stock).
3) 1999 Love Rock; nice flame-top (stock).
4) 1999 Love Rock; Gold Top (stock for now)
5) 1980 Silver Star (so un-stock it's not a Tokai anymore).
6) Various '50's, '60's, and '70's Strats, Teles, and one '59 Les Paul Special. They don't leave the house.
7) A handful of 'kits' I put together over the years. Some Warmoth, but mostly All Parts.
8 ) A handful of Marshall 50 and 100-watt heads. No Plexi's, but JMP's and one JCM800 50-watter.
9) One JCM800 2X12" combo.
10) One Simms-Watts 100-watt head.
11) a roomfull of 4X12" cabinets (Marshall, HiWatt, home-made).
12) a pair of Marshall 4X10" cabinets.
13) a first issue Peavey Classic 50 2X12" combo (without the loop).
14) a Gibson Hawk 2X10" combo. This 40-watt lightweight gets the most roadwork. At my age, I can't lift anything heavier.
Unless one of my kids comes out with me, I just take the Hawk and the Silver Star. If I have a helper, I take the Reborn as a back up, and a few pedals, as well as my travelling toolbox. It's loaded with spares, including tuning pegs, bridge pieces, pickups, and a portable butane soldering iron. That's on top of the spare strings, fuses, cords, straps, etc.
No wonder I don't like to go out to play .

Well, you know I do have as many guitars as I do to compensate for having a very small penis .
As for the Love Rock/Reborn issue, here's my 2?.

1) The Reborn I kept (as well as all others I have seen to date) has a very plain top, but still a stunning cherry-burst finish. The 'best' Love Rock I have features a drop-dead honey burst over a book-matched flame top.
2) The Reborn I have weighs like a '52 Pontiac, while that aforementioned Love Rock weighs like a feather.
3) The Love Rock usually has microphonic pickups (six Love Rocks I have/had did anyway), while the Reborn did not. I have no idea why.
4) The same Love Rock also had nickle hardware with an aluminum tailpiece. The guitar is so light and resonant, that if the looks don't get me noticed (and they definately do), the tone definately will.

Depending on what music you play, you may have to change pickups anyway, so I say get the best 'looker'. To really freak other guitar players out (and I never get the waitress commenting on my 'gear', guitar or otherwise ) I take the Reborn out with the Simms-Watts head and a HiWatt 4X12" cabinet for 'Rock' gigs. For Blues gigs it's either Stevie-Ray it to death and take the Silver Star or try something different and take the Les Paul Special. I wish I had my Tokai SG back; it had the tone without the weight.
End of ramble. Have a safe Xmas everyone.

Here's my stable....off memory because most of these are locked up.

1965 Fender Stratocaster in museum quality, all original - sunburst with mint green pick guard, orginal case and hang tags (my 401K plan!)

Fender Custom Shop 1965 Relic in sunburst - I love the 65 strats and I want to play one. My original is too mint to take out. It stays locked up. This relic is spot on the original in terms of fit, finish and tone. Amazing and well worth the money. My main axe.

1969 Gibson ES150D in cherry finish (335 style but ES175 thickness, master volume control on lower bout) with orignal case

1940's Gibson LG 1 parlor style acoustic

Taylor 25th anniversary dreadnought acoustic

Fender USA 1952 Tele reissue (late 90's)

Fender Jimmie Vaughan Strat (sunburst)

(2) Tokai Springy Sounds in mint condition (both are two color sunburst, one maple neck, one rosewood)

(2) Tokai Breezy Sound Teles (one sunburst transitional logo, one natural finish with spaghetti logo)

(1) Tokai Les Paul Reborn (LS60 in cherry finish)

(1) Tokai ES100J 335 copy (1981 in sunburst) probably my best sounding and most favorite guitar. It is mint and sounds awesome.

(1) Tokai LS75 Goldtop 56 LP with P90's (bought new in 2003)

(1) Tokai 67 / 68 Flying V (vintage white - nicely yellowed) Early 80's

(1) Tokai SG special (TV yellow with two black P90's)

(1) Tokai Siver Star (black with rosewood fingerboard, spaghetti logo)

(1) Tokai TJ55 acoustic

(1) Burny 61 SG (black with VH-1 p'ups)

(1) Orville 61 SG (cherry with Seth Lover p'ups)

(2) Greco ES 175's (one Super Real in blonde, the other I think is a Clear Sound in sunburst)

(1) Greco ES 335 (the infamous Limited edition)

(2) Fender Japan Strats (Craft Shop 65 reissue in sunburst, early 80's E series hardtail sunburst 60's model - my first real guitar)

(12) Univox's (Hi Flier Mosrite copies and basses, two hollow bodies, LP Junior, two Les Pauls, etc)
