You could pinch the skoda slogan,
'If only it was more expensive and not as good.'

Hi Ned,

The t-shirts will have the 'Tokai registry" logo across the shoulders, won't they?

I also like the "Beware of expensive imitations" .
Short, cheeky, witty, straight to the point.
It can be a hassle to quickly read T-shirts that have too many words. Even if people at first glance think it is a Gibson, the Tokai logo on the back will correct the assumption.
Remember grasshopper - Gibson was first but Tokai did it better.

I resemble that remark. Of course I've been told that direct marketing is not really advertising.

Peter, I was thinking of the url across the shoulders or along the bottom.

Also, If anyone can get me a 8x10 digital image of a really nice Love Rock and TST or TTE I would appreciate it. Having some trouble getting a nice pic for the shirt.

Hi Ned,

talk to Tokai gakki about the pic.... the LS-200 pic from the 1982 catalog is the same one used in the 1986 catalog for the TLS-200, so they should have artwork. I could also try scanning the pic in a 600dpi resolution and enlarge to 20cm X 25cm.

The shoulders is really the best place for the logo - easily seen from any angle.

Ned, if you did a long sleeve T, you could run the url down the sleeves. Might look cool.

How about these? :)

1959 Gibson Les Paul $60,000.
Gibson Historic Les Paul reissue $4000.
Tokai Love Rock...Priceless

or

1955 Fender Stratocaster $40,000.
Fender Custom Shop reissue $3500.
Tokai Spring Sound...Priceless

or

1951 Fender Telecaster $40,000.
1952 Fender Tele Custom Shop reissue $4000.
Tokai Breezy Sound...Priceless

Not sure if prices are correct or not,but you get the idea

I vote for guitarboy's quote:

"Beware of Expensive Imitations" :D

I love it! If you make one of those, I'll buy 4 of them!

Maybe you could add "7here's only one" or something to that effect.

Keep the ideas coming, guys!
