Today I scanned some paper photos with older equipment, e.g. this one showing my '78 Ibanez Musician MC300 (changed pickups and bridge), the self-built Strat and my mid '70s Luxor ES-335 copy (also with changed pickups and bridge):

Hey Big Mike,
I understand that the black on the back of a headstock only is reserved for Gib's with the absolute best everything, especially wood, that turn out superior to the others in the shop at the time. Maybe '69 was before that practice, and yours is just cosmetic. There is a name for it, I forget at the moment.
Is that the case with your 400, or is that a question (black rear headstock on a '69 Super 400) better directed to the G forum?

Oh, and before I forget, GREAT AMP! Even better, it has wheels!

Hey, I'm a guitar god now (some have know that for years---LOL)!

Seems like only yesterday I was a plucker, some people still call me that, but with a slightly different beginning!

I liked the sus4 bit though!

Here are a few pics of my 1977 Greco SE-500 Strat. It's not perfect cosmetically but I love this thing. The king of clean!

Here's a few of my 70's Japanese made Crestwood ES-335 Custom. Anyone have any info on these? It's a bolt neck but it has a
steel braided wiring harness, real humbuckers and is fully bound, even the F holes. Sounds and plays great. Got it off a local guy
on ebay for $40.00. He just listed it as Old Guitar. I picked it up and saved the shipping.

Thanks for looking.

Nice old Greco strat. Are you going to try to "remove" that left-over sticker image? Perhaps it could be rubbed out using polishing compound.

My two Burnys :

The one on the left is a late 80's (or early 90's) RLG90 with Duncan pickups. I threw away the VH-1's (just kidding, they're in another guitar).

The one on the right is an early 80's Custom with "accurate" diamond shape inlay. Not sure the pickups are VH1's though. They don't sound as good to me.

Cheers,

Nice Burnys ...

... I love the Custom most !! Is it a tobacco sb??

Seems to me that they are on the heavy side ??

They're both quite heavy, especially the Standard, but I wouldn't want my LP's any other way!

My latest acquisition :

'99 Epiphone Japan (Orville, really) ES 335. Just arrived today and I already love it!

Here's a Greco SG I refinished in Pelham blue:

I love Greco's!

You're right joukov ...

... BTW - villager - if I had the choice, I would buy one of your ES-copies from your homepage ...

Roger

PS. How much is the shipping charge to Germany ??

hey thanks joukov..hehe I was thinking all that effort for nothing:)

tudor ..germany, insured fully is about ?60..if you know a cheaper deal please let me know as shipping charges from the UK are criminally high compared to the rest of europe...

Here's a pic of my new Burny Rock n' Roll Jr. It's very lightweight and a lot of fun to play. It's an early 80's model, possibly an RLG 70.

I was complaining to my find there wasn't enough new "guitar porn" pics on the web today, and she reminded me I am part of the problem.

Hoping to add some MIJ Tokais soon!

Here's my "Harem", taken at a gig, so not the best photo.
Recent Gib V
'79 Gib KM LP
1989 Fender US vintage reissue '57 model Strat
New Tokai MIK FB-53
(The Tokai truss rod cover had a bit of warp to it, and I was able to get a white one that says Gib on it. Had I been able to get a white Tokai cover, I'd happily display that instead.)

* the Strat was re-fretted recently, and I had the inlays replaced with abalone, including a "bull's eye" at frets 7 & 19, as well as the infinity symbol at fret 12.

Simply fabulous guitars everyone... I'm litterally drooling
O k, I tried to post one also but couldn't. Some day I'll figure out how it works.

Keep on Rockin On 8)
