Love Rock 1011769 - can you please identify the model number

Hi there Folks,

I'm the market to purchase a love rock with the serial number of 1011xxx. this means that the guitar should be a 1981 model. It sounds waaaaaaay better than any Les paul Standard or Custom that was in the store so i would like to get it.

But i would like to know the model number.

is it possible for anyone to identify the model number based on the serial number.

Or do you absolutely need photos?

unfortunately i don't have photos. But it is a Tokai Love rock from 81 and it sounds great. It's selling at a second hand shop for about $1000US.

Do you think that that is a good price.

Also do you know what models of love rock were made in 81. that way i can get some kind of idea?

Hey guys,

a little tricky this one so lets see if we cant get some guidelines.
1) what is the color? Black, gold = LS50, LS70
2) is there any flame? LS120,150,200
3) sunburst type = LS50, LS60, LS80, LS100 (but not LS70)
4) pickup covers = open LS50 & LS100

these should help narrow the 1981 models down to 1 or 2 possibilities, then you look at the mahogany on the back and neck and the 'dishing' of the top. If possible , get the shop to take out a pickup and get its markings
