Is this a Japanese Tokai?

Hey guys, I know GC pics suck but can anyone discern if this is a Japanese made Tokai? If not, the price would be not justified I'm sure.

Any ideas? Thank you

I believe it's a MiC John Sykes model and rather overpriced.

Agreed, looks real but it's not MIJ and as such it's way overpriced.

Guitar center is a joke. All of their Tokais and Burnys that are near enough for me to actually play are Chinese or Korean being sold at Japsnese prices.

Hello there,

In my opinion, judging by the truss rod cover, it's most definitely not Japanese, my guess is either Korean or Chinese. I don't think the Korean models have serial numbers, this one does, so I will plump for Chinese (going by the pictures, which of course are surely displayed in this way to deceive unwary customers) I think that the long serial number should have the prefix 'C'.

Are you able to visit the seller?

I think that a reasonable price should be around $300.
