Going to look at a 1984 love rock, any advice??

I'm new to the older tokais as I've only ever owned 2000's and newer.

Is there anything I should check for?? Thsi one looks OK, just has a flamier top than I'd expected , the circuit board and pickups look original and look like they've never been touched.

Do you know the model number? I have a 1984 LS-60 that has a flame veneer top for sale. Here are some pictures if you wanted to compare it to the one you're considering:

Your question is somewhat strange because we don't see the guitar you are speaking about.

But there is very few logical reason to go vintage Tokai. A top tier Tokai, even of the 2000's will rival with a vintage one. Maybe a slightly different feel due to some changes in the laquer would be around all I see. Maybe some very good tops in the past, but they are not totally gone today either.
