Bought this 1984 Tokai Goldstar from my local guitar shop here in Canada. Was in the neighborhood for a really good strat but wasn't interested in any that were sub $1000/cad. Anything more than that was not affordable to me and then I spotted the Tokai. It's in really good shape for being a 34 year old guitar with a few nicks and dents in it but no chips deep enough to expose the wood. Sorry all my pictures are upside down, but if you look closely you'll see it's genuine. All parts are stock except the saddles which have been replaced with Fender saddles and the rear pick up which is some sort of Dimarzio. I determined it was an ST50 by the fact that it has a 5 digit serial number with no letters. I am extremely happy with this guitar! Love the colour too.
