if it was clear who the luthier is I'd be more interested. As it stand's it's all so obscure who knows who made it and what it's really like.
 
oh yes, completely understandable :)

two attributes I really like about that guitar
(1) the really wide ring spacing of the flat sawn, 1 piece white limba body
(2) the tenon construction looks exactly like a real '58 Gibson Explorer

Since the guitar is in Japan the odds of it being 'made in Japan' are likely very strong but as you state there is no clarification of provenance

It sure looks like a cracker tho' 8)
