Hi Guys,
Can you please help ID this Love Rock? I guess it's an '06 model with arched TRC & H/S dimple. stamped# 06*****. "MADE IN JAPAN" at base of Headstock. I can't make out the markings at all in both p/up cavities.
Thanks for your help
Kind regards
Kevin

Thanks, any further info would be appreciated as those markings don't resemble anything I have on my older Love Rocks.
Thanks again

HDC = Heritage dark Cherry finish.

Markings in the neck cavity look to be nothing decipherable unless you are perhaps Japanese

HDC finish would be Tokai cloer equivalent to a Brockbust finish ( a sunburst with stronger red). I has a LS-150 with finish (I would say 2005 was the first year where offered or, al least when they were seen usually).

I noticed this guitar has the colour code written on bridge cavitie just like mine had, another clue to decipher the era guitar was made....

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some information (like the model) for a used Tokai I bought a few days ago. The only thing I know is that this guitar is from 2006 (SN: 06*****) and it has an inked "Made in Japan" stamp on the back of the headstock.
This is my first time in a forum ever, so if there should be some mistakes, sorry for that ;-)

Thanks for your help!!!!!

Here some pictures of that beautiful guitar:

EDIT: the pickups got replaced by Häussel Pickups. So they are not the original ones.

Since this is your first time on a forum you can be forgiven but you've made two faux pas here.

One known as the 'hijack' - even though your question is similar, you've posted on someone else's thread ignoring their question and any previous discussion, and made it about your own query. Second is the 'zombie' - this thread is old, the discussion was finished and you've brought it back without adding anything to it other than your own question. In either case you should have started your own topic.

Back to the matter at hand. It would help to have a picture of the headstock shape, electronics cavity and any markings under the pickups but it looks to be the same model as the one earlier in the thread (hence why you posted here I guess). It's the mid-level Made In Japan model with a veneer flame top. I'm not sure what the model designation would have been in '06 but it has a maple top, mahogany neck and back (2 piece), Japanese electronics, standard hardware, thin poly finish, and unbound fret ends.

First of all: sorry for these faux pas. Like I said, I'm totally new on a forum. Next time I will know how to act correctly in order to avoid the hijack and the zombie

Thanks for the information you gave me so far. I've made some pictures of the headstock, the electronics and the markings under the pickups.

Everything supports the identification I made earlier. It looks like the electronics have been modified too - some of the pots have been changed for CTS, the caps are new, and there's a treble bleed circuit installed. Because the photo doesn't show all the electronics it's hard to say exactly what has been changed. I think one of the pots may actually be a push-pull switch.
