Hello - first post, hopefully I can work out how to post images! I'm currently looking at buying at Jazz Sound and hoped for any information I can get on dating it:

Thanks Luis - apologies for asking but how can you tell? What are the clues that a detective can use?!
Apologies - I forgot to post a picture showing the whole shape of the headstock earlier:

Because headstock shape and the logo mainly. I have to check other things like neck pocket and wiring to be 100% sure however. Back in 1985 we have APB with "cut" headstock shape and afterwards the Italic logo Custom Edition somewhere in 1986.....
I stand corrected myself it is post 1984 because APB headstock shape. |

Thanks Luis - so we're looking at sometime between 1984 and the early 1990's perhaps? |

It could be ,we need to check for neck pocket inscription to be sure and for the model as far as Tokai PB/PJ were ressiue in 2000s too....
The L serial engraved on neck plate would poin t us to a 1965/65 replica as far as Peter Mac stand in an old post. |

Thanks again Luis - if I ever get to taking the neck off for a proper look then I'll certainly post an update here.
For me, regardless of age, it's a nice bass with good tone so I'll make sure I make the most of it! |
